Rubens House: Rubens Experience and garden | entrance ticket only in combination with a guided tour
This ticket is only valid if you also book one of the following guided tours: ‘The total portrait‘ or ‘Visit the Rubenshuis with your class – secondary education‘. Individual visitors will not be granted access with this ticket.
Artist, marketer, scientist, diplomat and family man. Rubens was an extraordinary talent, but also an ordinary man. He lived and worked in Rubenshuis for much of his life. In his Italian palace on the Wapper, which he designed himself, he lived happily and voraciously. In his domain, he invited nobility, royalty and close friends to his studio and residence. He surrounded himself with a loyal entourage. From gardener and florist to kitchen maid and domestic servant. His wives and his children gave him the necessary fire of life.

Useful information
- Show your ticket(s) on your smartphone and leave your printed version at home.
- The Rubenshuis is a cash-free museum. Like to buy something extra in the shop? If so, you can pay with your debit card, credit card or Payconic.
- As the weather in Belgium can be unpredictable, it’s a good idea to bring a coat or an umbrella. After all, the garden is a museum in the open air.
- There is no time limit on your visit to Rubens’s world. Enjoy!

Lockers
Bring only the most essential items with you to the museum and leave everything else safely behind at home. Of course we also provide sufficient lockers at reception for your coat, bag and other belongings. The space inside the lockers is limited though. Unfortunately, suitcases will not fit inside and we cannot look after them for you.
Bikes, folding bikes and scooters are not allowed inside our building. But near the lockers, there is space for rollators and a few prams.

Unfortunately, the museum is unable to cancel any tickets or change any bookings.
