Under the watchful eye of Jan De Lichte, you will learn the origin of the Leien and the futuristic court of justice which was built by the architect Sir Richard Rogers. While strolling along the boulevard, we will meet numerous historical figures, such as: Quinten Matsys, Earl of Hoorn, Jozef Lies, Jan Frans Willems, Graham Bell, the second Queen of the Belgians Maria-Henrietta, and so on.

If open, we will visit the St Michael’s and Peter’s Church. We will also pop into ‘den Bell’, and the old court of justice will not go unnoticed either. The climax of this walk along the boulevard is our descent into the underground bastion, a remnant of the 16th-century city walls. A deceptively easy route that is full of surprises!
