During this guided theme tour (105 minutes) on the restoration and renovation of Antwerp Town Hall, your group will discover parts of this recently fully renovated monument that you don’t get to on more traditional tours. You will explore a new multi-purpose room in the basement and the impressive ‘Illuminated Floor’, where contemporary architecture and an integrated artwork show how successful and innovative the recent renovation of Town Hall really is. In addition, considerable attention goes to the restoration of the façades and to the impressive interior of the old Council Chamber.
Highlights of this rather exclusive tour include a visit to the Mayor’s Lounge, which is rarely open to the public, and the unforgettable tour of the Renaissance loggia, the panoramic balcony with an extraordinary view of the old town and the cathedral.

- Backpacks, shopping bags, large handbags, water bottles and umbrellas need to be stored in the cloakroom before the start of the tour. So be sure to arrive on time with your group!
- There really are a lot of stairs to be climbed on this tour. So you will need to have excellent mobility.
