Through the letter, your pupils will also leave on the long journey to America. And they won’t do it alone: young emigrants will go with them and give them tips about what awaits them. They will learn how long they will be on the road, what to take with them and what to leave behind, and why it is better to lie about their age. What do you do to combat seasickness and how do you get rid of boredom on board? After a gruelling adventure, the pupils and their travelling companions reach their destination tired but satisfied.
This tour at the Red Star Line Museum has been reworked with extra active assignments, and is also feasible for the 1st and 2nd year of primary school.
