Experiment with intaglio printing – just like Ensor did – and create your own print. In the workshop you first view book illustrations, prints and drawings. Then you’ll learn how to make a drypoint etching as you get to work with plexiglass, ink and a centuries-old etching press.

Practical information:

  • This workshop is suitable for students from 8 to 25 years old
  • Maximum 12 persons per group
  • Duration: 90 minutes
  • During the workshop you will work in a studio
  • Your museum ticket is valid all day long, so you will be able to visit the rest of the Museum Plantin-Moretus

Is this workshop also suitable for disabled people?

The workshop will take place on the ground floor. Wheelchair users can only visit the ground floor. The museum is a historic house that grew organically over centuries. That’s why there are several steps on the first floor to go from one room to another, which is not possible to navigate with a wheelchair. The guide will adapt the workshop accordingly.
