What we wear can say something about who we are, how we position ourselves in society and which subculture we belong to. Fashion also gives us the opportunity to play multiple roles simultaneously or to alter our identity by changing outfits. We no longer stick to one style, but we mix to our heart’s content. Fashion and the way people dress is a reflection of the social context.
It is pretty clear that fashion is always on the move. Over the past decades we’ve seen many developments. Many trends from the past are returning to the fashion of today. Of course, a lot has changed, but what exactly? That is the question we ask ourselves during this project and to which we try to find answers by means of questions, propositions and assignments.
