A MoMu guide will take you and your imagination on a unique voyage of discovery through our Collection presentation. It is not so much the content that is at the heart of our dream visit, but the experience: learning to look and using your imagination, while focussing on materials and colours.

Through play, we will explore the various garments and themes from the exhibition and the pupils will be invited to reflect, draw and actively participate. MoMu houses the largest collection of Belgian contemporary fashion in the world. MoMu’s new Collection presentation looks back at four decades of Belgian fashion, complemented by a selection from the museum’s historical collection.
The exhibition gives an overview of the most important protagonists of Belgian fashion, based on the themes that characterise the distinctive nature of the MoMu collection: surrealism, craftsmanship, deconstructivism and a predilection for art, history and innovation.
Both the Collection presentation and the introductory documentary begin with the historical question ‘what does the label Belgian and Antwerp fashion mean today?’. The exhibition will rotate every year to show as much of the MoMu collection as possible and to make room for new stories. This way, the Collection presentation becomes an annual standing appointment that continues to surprise.
