Ossenmarkt and Beguinage
The Antwerp beguinage is one of Antwerp’s best hidden treasures. Many locals don’t even know that our city has a beguinage. This oasis of peace and quiet can be found near the busy Ossenmarkt, which is buzzing with students during the academic year.The beguinage was just one expression of religious life at a time when religion was dominant in Antwerp. Capuchins and Jesuits, among others, also found a place in this neighbourhood.

- Keep in mind that the beguinage is a bit more difficult to walk through because of the cobblestones.
