A ‘wyg’ is a square sheet of paper that can be folded into a game. On one side you will find the floor plan of the Middelheim Museum. On the other side there are 8 works of art with assignments. The students can then either be led to a work of art by chance or they can make their own choice.
The ‘wyg’ connects the physical world (the art park, the statues), the virtual world (smartphone, internet, Middelheim App) and your own thoughts and emotions. By carrying out the assignments on the ‘wyg’, you will discover more. You will observe the works of art. You will crawl into the head (or under the skin) of the artist. You will make your own visual material (e.g. drawing, text, photo, film, poetry, movement,…). This will help you to continue the creative process.
