From exquisite silverware to refined table customs – this fascinating exploration takes you from the Middle Ages to today, from European eating habits to eating habits in other cultures. Be surprised by the rich stories behind the gleaming silverware and learn all about the art of dining in style.

An educational experience full of history, taste and elegance!

Practical information:

  • This guided tour is suitable for pupils of the second and third grade of secondary education
  • Maximum 15 pupils per group, accompanied by 1 supervisor
  • Maximum 2 groups at the same time
  • Duration: 60 minutes
  • Guided visits are available from 10.30 to 16.30.
  • Museum admission: free of charge for school groups

Is DIVA accessible for people with reduced mobility?

DIVA is accessible for (electric) wheelchairs and walker. All exhibition rooms are accessible by lift. To use the lift, you sometimes have to deviate from the planned route. Our staff in the museum halls will be happy to show you the way. Adapted toilets can be found on floor -1. DIVA provides a wheelchair and 20 folding chairs, which are available at the front desk.

Can I enter DIVA with a stroller?

Strollers are allowed in the museum rooms. We do ask that all bags attached to the stroller be placed in the lockers (on floor -1). Would you prefer to store the stroller during your visit? You can do so in the space provided. Please talk to our staff in the entrance hall. You will find two changing tables in the toilets.

Can I bring my dog?

Dogs are not allowed, except for guide dogs and other certified assistance dogs.

  • DIVA offers a manual for the teacher to prepare and for processing after the visit.
  • The pupils discover the museum and the history of dining in an interactive way.
  • The pupils learn how to set a table in style.
  • After your guided tour, you are free to visit the permanent exhibition.
