Please note: the collection pavilion will be closed from September through December due to works. This tour cannot be booked during this period.

Don’t expect to find a conventional exhibition in the Collection Pavilion. The former depot is now an open space where you can become acquainted with a selection of rarely seen items from the Middelheim Museum’s hidden collections. Some pieces can be viewed in full, but for others we have chosen to show only key elements. The layout is functional and flexible, opening up future possibilities for new perspectives on the collection.

We will regularly single out one of the selected artworks and grant it a prominent position at one end of the pavilion. Focussing specifically on one work will help to bring its original meaning back to life and – together with you – we can hopefully also add some new meanings.

The museum is open every day of the week, except on Monday: the opening hours depend on the season
October - March: 10:00-17:00
April: 10:00-19:00
May - August: 10:00-20:00
September : 10:00-19:00
The museum is closed on the following holidays: 1 January, 1 May, Ascension Day, 1 November and 25 December
The museum is exceptionally open on the following holidays: Easter Monday and Whit Monday
Attention: the museum park is closed during stormy weather
