Seamen’s quarter: Antwerp’s red light district

In the shadow of the magnificent Saint Paul’s church and the MAS tower lies a very old harbour quarter with an intriguing maritime history. A few years ago our town authorities started a successful renewed layout of this legendary “Seamen’s Quarter” with its numerous picturesque squares and streets. Prostitution and counterfeit trade were restrained. You will discover a cosy spot with a rich history, the beautifully restored parish church and a limited prostitution zone.
