Why is the district of Berchem called the street art district of Antwerp? Berchem, close to Antwerp city center, has been profiling itself for years as the street art district and even has a real alderman of street art. The tour takes you from the train station to a real street art area. Every year the old Zomerfabriek is the setting for the international graffiti event Meeting of Styles Belgium. This festival annually travels around the world from city to city and traditionally lands in Berchem in August. Every year more than 50 artists pimp around 4,000 square meters of wall. The works will remain for a year to be replaced by new pieces in the next edition. You must have seen this hotspot!
