This “grand tour” is the most extensive guided tour (110 minutes) in the Antwerp City Hall. It starts with a fascinating explanation of the façade, we learn in a small exhibition why this monument has been recognised as UNESCO World Heritage since 1999 and go on to explore the impressive administrative building from the ground floor right up to under the ancient eaves. Along the way, we pass the highlights of the acclaimed “Schoon Verdiep” (Beautiful Floor), the magnificent gallery of the first floor and the handsome, but more contemporary “Illuminated Floor”.

The fact that this guided tour is offered exclusively outside office hours means you get the chance to discover unique parts of the City Hall, such as the “Mayor’s Salon”, the secret organ chamber and the south side of the Renaissance loggia, a panoramic balcony with an unforgettable view of the Grote Markt and cathedral.
PLEASE NOTE: This multifaceted guided tour can only be offered outside normal office hours. So plan your visit at a moment during the weekend or on a public holiday. Or choose an evening tour between Monday and Friday in the spring or summer period.

- Backpacks, shopping bags, large handbags, water bottles, wet coats and umbrellas must be stored in the cloakroom.
- There really are a lot of stairs to be climbed on this tour. So it is important that you are mobile.
