The fact that this guided tour is offered exclusively outside office hours means you get the chance to discover unique parts of the City Hall, such as the “Mayor’s Salon”, the secret organ chamber and the south side of the Renaissance loggia, a panoramic balcony with an unforgettable view of the Grote Markt and cathedral.
TIP: Does this guided theme tour seem a little too much for your group? Or are you not very mobile? Then choose a different tour from our offer at the Antwerp City Hall. After all, this “grand tour” involves lots of inevitable stairs between the different floors.
PLEASE NOTE: This multifaceted guided tour can only be offered outside normal office hours. So plan your visit at a moment during the weekend or on a public holiday. In spring or summer you can occasionally participate in an evening tour after office hours.
Practical information:
- Please note: the starting point is not actually in or at the City Hall but at the tree at Grote Markt 13.
- Important: Report with your ticket to the guide, 10 min. before the given starting time of the tour. For security reasons your first name and surname will be registered. Make sure to arrive on time at the starting point!
- Please note: No extra ticket sales on site.
- Backpacks, shopping bags, large handbags, drinking bottles, wet coats and umbrellas are not permitted inside but can be deposited in the cloakroom.
- This guided tour is only available in Dutch.
- This is a public tour: you will join a guide together with other participants until the maximum number of participants (20) has been reached.
- There really are a lot of stairs to be climbed on this tour. So it is important that you are mobile.
